Altenator Requirements
Today i went in hunt of a small altenator and found a tiny one off a suzuki swift on a 56 plate.
It generates 75 amp according to the data plate,is this sufficent?
What are the average requirements?

Sufficient for what??? kitcar with no electronics....

Yeah good point,
a standard kit car, lights super bright 6 and the clocks, also the battery!

I suspect a Swift will draw a fair bit more than you will need in a 'standard' kit car!

have you got a photo of this suzuki swift alternator?
mine is a standard vauxhall one, and is alright, but tis a little bit on the large side. denso ones seem to cost a fortune, and have the wrong pulley
on them

75 Amps?? That's enough to run a fleet of cars!! 
My 45 Amp Denso (£25 on eBay) happily runs my car which has a heater, satnav and stereo fitted.

Remember diversity applies .
Not everything is on at full all the time.
So work out what the current draw is fom that.
Battery should see13.8v to maintain eq voltage.
