Started motor wiring

Can anyone tell me what each of these terminals are for?

I've got 3 wires to connect to the starter - supply from battery, wire to alternator, and wire to ignition. Which terminal do i connnct these to? Presumably the supply from battery and wire to alternator go to the same terminal?

By the way the starter is off a 1600 pinto

That's what i thought it probably would be, but for some reason the connectors that are supposed to go on the same terminal have different sized holes - the battery cable fits over the large terminal but the cable to the alternator doesnt, i guess they must have just fitted the wrong end piece and i'll have to drill it out a bit

Cheers

You can take the one from the alternator back to the battery if it's easier.

I think with the way my loom is set out it will be easier to just drill the connector a bit bigger, this won't affect the current through it and cause big bangs will it?!

No it's just the same as connecting the two wires together in a different place. It'll still put power back to battery.
