How to make toggle switch tell tale light work?

As topic - I have two of these switches from Carbuilder Solutions. Both have LED telltales fitted, but only one of them is wired up to light when the switch is "on". I am planning to reuse one of them for a different purpose... the LED currently does not light up. So, my question is, how do you wire these up to show the light when on?

There are 3 terminals on the back. The one where the light does come on has 3 wires, but I don't know where the one connected to the light terminal comes from or how it works. The one where the light doesn't come on has only two of the terminals connected to wires

Any clues/diagrams please?

Cheers,

Simon

i think the 3rd terminal just goes to earth (earths the light so the current flows through it from +12v)

perhaps try switching it on, and touching the 3rd connection to earth

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!
