wiring the wipers with the vickie green loom

does any one know if the vickie green loom is correct for the wiper circuit? when i start the engine the wipers start. there is no intermitant no fast and no stop, only on..

i'm running a lucus motor if that helps

should i just get a new switch and make a new sub loom for the wipers?

I've put the loom and the relays supplied in as the loom diagramme, which has proved wrong before.

looks like i will ba making a small loom just for the wipers then.

I've got mine working on the VG loom, with an audi intermittent relay, MGB wipers and sierra switch gear.

From you description is sounds like the park switch ain't cutting in....there is a continuous feed to the motor to park the wipers, if the switch isn't breaking the circuit then they carry on trying to park. HTH

There's a wiring diagram for the Lucas wipers on the SVC web site. Really needs the lucas wiper switch to make it work but can be done without but it's tricky.

The sierra wiper motor runs off the same five wires as the lucas wiper, same wire functions and the column switch does the same things. Just not the same colours. Unfortunately I don't have the VG colours to tie in to the pic. Rescued attachment Lucasplug.jpg
