Hi everyone has anybody out there made there own headlight brackets instead of using them horrible stock items, if so can you show us your pictures
please i've got a plane but just looking for some insperation .

Not on a Luego, but using Luego nosecone.

thats it there wicked they look a lot better than the stock item , how have you fitted them under the nosecone cos that is the sort of thing i've got in mind cheers.
We're having the brackets welded onto the chassis for simplicity, should we need to replace the nosecone again...

i followed the stuart taylor / aries approach.
On the front of the LA section i made up some 3mm angle from 2" strip. The head lights will never wobble - you can even lift the car on the
brackets!
light it is not, effective it definately is.
(ST / Aries use something like 1.5mm steel)

I used a bit of 3/4" tube that goes right across the frame with bends at both ends to turn the lights forward with a slice a 1" tube on the
end and capped it with a hole to bolt the lights through.

if you can, design them so that the wiring is fed inside the bracket.
the old owner of Luego - Matt - does some excellent ones that can either bolt on or weld on.
they are very sleek and much better than the square style from luego.
