These are 150mm x 80mm with a reflector, should be able too get them flush ?
Anyone else found any ?
I would fit these but they don't rock my boat that much.
Chris M, where did you get yours from ?
Rescued attachment led rear.jpg
How about the circular ones from SVC?
Had those and the ones with the LED ring round the outside, not what I'm looking for, be boring if we all wanted the same............
Just thinking out loud, how about buying those rectangular ones, taking the LED array out and mounting inside a regular rear light of your choice ? It
should still conform to SVA since total light output would remain the same ?

From what I gathered on earlier posts on here, you can make pretty much any light and as long as the SVA inspector is happy with it it'll pass.
So maybe you could knock up something like the strip lights or your own design on that basis?
I'm planning to make a recessed lamp cluster by cutting a hole in my rear aly sheet, joggling the edge and mounting an acrylic sheet in it, then
mounting red/amber reflectors to the back of that sheet drilled to take the LEDs. If you were clever and heat bent the acrylic you could mount them
on the rear corners too, might be too experimental for me though.
Of course by the time i've finished the rest of the car the chances of me being bothered with all that are pretty slim... just ignore me.
Really like those strip lights by the way. Not locost but worth every penny.

Paul they are from the states, they are pretty expensive, especially if you get stung for import taxes, mine cost almost £300 as i got stung by HM Customs. they come in 1 foot length and you can chop and use any length of that down to approx 15mm hence mine were 2x6", 2x8" and 2x4".
i was prepared to pay the money because there was no other lights i wanted, for most people though £300 could be seen as excessive for a set of rear lights that may not pass sva.
the ones i used were the 1 foot flexible array's, there about 2/3rds of the way down the page, they cost around 92$ per foot, i used 3 foot.
edited to add; at todays current exchange rates, and the chance of slipping customs charges you could get them for around £150
