Got myself a speedo/tacho from a kawazaki kle500. If i remember right they are a twin cylinder will the tacho still work in a cec Rescued attachment clocks.jpg

I guess it depends what engine / ignition you are running.

If you are running sequential distributor ignition then I don't think so. If you are using wasted spark ignition then it should be OK?

Only one way to find out for certain, hook it up!

don't try taking it up to the red line in a cec though or it might become an ex-cec!

Just one note of caution - a bike tacho might be expecting a clean 12V signal from a CDI unit, so may not survive the experience of being wired to LT coil terminals (these see transients of several hundred volts). Maybe your megajolt has a clean 12V tacho output?

The megajoly uses Ford's wasted spark system from an EDIS module so you may be in luck.

The V3 megajolt has a 12v tacho output that should work , the edis tacho or idm output may also be an option.
How is the speedo driven is it electronic or mechanical?
