can anybody help. does anybody do a simple wiring diagram for the megajolt showing what colour wire goes to what im running a 2litre zetec with bike carbs with eddis4. im also after a loom were is the best place to get one?
The Megajolt is not plug and play ... it is described
"Megajolt Lite Jr (MJLJ) is an experimental ignition controller"
and as such if you are upto building testing and programing this then the wiring loom should be a walk in the park..
Dont think a loom is availab;le but if it is it will be available from Bill shurvington. PM me for his email address.
Alternatively the link below has a wiring diagram and plenty of other info. It may be a diy system but most of us need help sometimes!!

I am also fitting a megajolt do let me know how itr goes.

The wide range of skills needed to make a locost on the cheap is huge and hence this site...
I just assumed if you have the skill to make/ program ect the wiring up should be the easy bit...
On the subject of megajolt, paulf is very good having made /programed and installed his own on this forum. And im shure he could give you a few
pointers..
Have you already got the kit to build the mega jolt?
Has anybody got a parts order list from cpc/maplins ect as just sitting and looking for the components part numbers is enought to give me a
headace......
TBH i gave up trying to cross reffer the part numbers and bought the board from the States and ordered component kit fro Bill shurvington, it wasnt
expensive and at leat i knew all the componets were correct. Been few years since i did any board level work but had a running unti in an evening.
The more difficukt bit is working out how to mount my trigger wheek etc as i am running a small multi v alloy front pulley on my crossflow.

Viatron do you have Bills email address..As this will be the easier way to go ...I have the board and a couple of chips of paul and have collected the
sensors /coils and the edis4 ect but keep falling asleep looking at the cpc ect..Again I havnt done a lot of board work since college, but I used to
design and etch my own...We shall see...Having spent so much on the motor im a bit reluctant and may test it on another engine first....
regards warren
the megajolt i have is the full thing all sealed in a alloy case with the circuit boards all done inside with 1 small black 9 pinn plug at 1 side 1 bigger 14 pinn plug at the other.i will have a look on website i didnt know if anybody could just say this colour to this plug
Hi Warren
I will try and compile a component list over the next couple of days.Farnells sell everything required as do RS , maplins are not to good as often
dont have enough of each part in stock in my experience.
I have some farnells orders and will look through and find the relevant part numbers.
Ps I do have two nearly complete units spare if anyone requires one built and tested.
Paul.
