Has anyone seen / bought / used one of these?

A lot more expensive than push-iron comuters but seem a bit more built for purpose. Also have back light.

See the website, there is another round in dash type with blue illumination.

What do you think? Im sure they also show warning lights.

seems a bit on the small side from the measurements on the website. so small infact you might be able to fit it to the centre of the steerig wheel (after sva!).

Ive been in contact with the distributor. They are approx 83mm square and 30mm deep. Definitely have wheel mount possibilities. Already backlit. No batteries to worry about. Bigger than pushiron ones so easier to read.

Interesting but more expensive.

The Panoram (2nd) link is one that I bought to try out. The backlight (cool blue) is operated by a button and only stays on for 5 seconds. I tried to bodge a permanent connection with my soldering iron, but only managed to destroy the unit.

I think it's a nice inexpensive unit, but the lack of a switchable backlight makes it not the best choice.

I DO like that first option! Wonder if it's available stateside?

I do like that round one... The blue LCD look is very pretty and the switchable backlight is a great plus. Does that unit include a Tacho?

Trev Borg - 5/2/05 at 09:46 PM

I think its got a tacho. Not sure wether it is displayed at the same time as the speedo or just switchable between.

I don't think it has any warning lights or fuel gauge

DarrenW - 7/2/05 at 11:09 AM

Those are the same pics that he sent to me. Im trying to do a deal with him for doing test work for car fitting. AKAIK neither unit has a rev counter and the small one doesnt have warning lights or fuel gauge.

For SVA does the illumination have to come on with side lights? I cant find ref in the manual.

My thoughts are to fit one of the square ones with the bare minimum of instrumentation for SVA then retro fit digi-dash when funds allow later.

What is the minimum instrumentation for SVA (speedo, main beam tell tale, indicator tell tale, rear fog tell tale....any others?)

The Quad master fuel level is via 100ohm bike sender. Is it possible to fit car sender and a resistor in series (assuming car ones are less that 100ohm).

Cheers,
Darren.
