so far i've got
indicators (green)
main beam (blue)
brake fluid warning (red) - (which i'll have with a push button to test, no handbrake warning)
hazard light (red)
fog light (amber as per manual, though i've seen red in cars)
thats what i've already got installed
still to put in:
oil pressure (amber)
battery charge (red) - i've also got this going to my starter button so it comes on when the engines not already running, but will put this to a
lamp too
speedo and other gauges will light up with head lights
i've got an LED fuel gauge with green amber and red lights, which isn't required, but i've got one
what have i missed?
I'm going to do them all with 10mm LEDs, i don't like normal bulbs, they look rubbish, in fact the only bulbs i'll have are the
headlights

You may need to think about the charge light if you intend using an LED as the filament in the lamp makes the field current for the alternator.
Can you still have a beep instead of indicator warning lights ? Sorry to hijack but just thought of it.

I think the general concencus and the wording used throughout the manual is - 'cause no confusion to the driver'
If you have a light of any colour undewhich there is logo or wording stating Fog Light - thats not going to cause confusion.
You dont even need to have indicator warning lights at all (you can have a audible warning, or if you can see the front indicators themselves from the
drivers sear), so i guess their view is it doesnt really matter if they are green, thats just whats considered 'standard'.
If you go back to the fog light section, it specfically states it can be any colour:
6.
Must be fitted with an operational “tell-tale” lamp (non-flashing) visible from the driving position
7.
Either the switch or tell tale must clearly indicate that operation relates to the Rear Fog lights (see Note 1).
Note 1: This may be achieved by an unlit pictogram (see section 33) or appropriate words, the tell tale may be any colour provided it cannot be
confused with any other tell tale.
