Has anyone tried fitting these lights from SVC. I'm just wondering what the clearance would be like between the light & a 15" wheel ?
From the SVC site:
LED REAR LIGHT
A full LED "Cheeseburger light
Size is about 85 mm from front of lens to back of housing, BUT as these are LED lights, with the deep rear housing removed only about 55 deep from
front of lens to back of the light connectors, or Approx 35 mm from body line to back of light.

It will depend to a great extent on how the arches are mounted. Is there a lot of space between your tyre and the arch? Lights that go through the
arch take more room in general than do caterham lights for example, or others that bolt onto the arch, instead of going through.
Good luck!
i think these ones can be surface mounted, giving more room behind them for wiring and stuff, but look a bit er.. well, they're very big diameter
(for trucks), they're quite deep, and i personally think, will look a bit crap.
cheese burger lights
about
a 1/5 of the way down are the same physical size i think, but only £5 each. got to be worth it to check sizes etc?
I thought they might make the back end look a bit different but starting to think it's gonna be too much hassle. I want to get the car on the road this summer & there's enough to do already without making it more complicated. Thanks anyway
I was thinking of these at one time as an led alternative to the bullseyes I have currently.
just spotted this thread as I was thinking of going LED on my Xtreme.
I took the plunge and got some - straight swap for the bullseye ones. (my lenses had cracked, I replaces with hamburger style lenses, but slightly
wrong size and cracked again!)

I think the important thing is to get a set that are E marked, then you know you are getting a signed off level of lighting - the trouble with LED is
that they can vary so much and it is very difficult to buy something that matches the required wattage. Just my thought on the matter.
