Ive had the car for a while now, and i still dont know.
When i press it with the ignition on, it illuminates, and is a momentary switch.
Anyone shed any light (haha) on this? I think its a renault switch.
Whats is it??
What vehicle is this on?
Is it battery symbol on the switch.
Its on my kit car, which has Sierra and renault donor parts.
The symbol looks more like a solenoid, and it doesnt kill the engine when i press it. I tried to get it our earlier to have a look at the wiring, but
ill need to give it some more persuasion later.
looked at sideways it kind of looks like a radiator with the cap at the top, something to do with the water level? or even a brake reservoir
bottle?

Is it a fluid level warning test switch? Ie like the switch you need for the low brake fluid warning....
hmmmm, might be.... Ill go short out the contacts on the fluid bottle lid.
Definitely looks like a fluid level switch of some description

Yep, its a brake fluid warning light and test switch combined. Well done, Thanks Fellas.
Beaten to it...
Odd that it passed SVA with it. The fluid warning light has to have the correct symbol.
ie. (!) illuminating in red
Was the only specified symbol before IVA
adrian
Bit late on the draw but its a Brake fluid warning/test switch from a Renault Savana, one of my engineers had one.
Cheers,
Bob
