I recently bought a Mac1 type 9r. After much fiddlin I got it really nicely setup for me.
Ive yet to sort this digidash out there. I found the site to download the manual and set the rev lights, water temp, oil temp etc up but cant get to
grips with the gear light
Its got a mind of its own. Sometimes it'll say 'C' meaning clutch is down, other times N and then it'll read a random gear.
Is there a particular way to set one of these up or a specialist in Essex??
Cheers Dean
Hi, speak to ETB instruments. They are in
Southend!! They made them!!
been there a few times - very helpful

it relies on the correct gear ratios and rolling tyre diameter being installed into the digi dash to indicate which gear its in.
Give Mark a ring for the calibration No for the speedo, and if you let me know what year your engine is i can give you the ratios for the 6 gears and
the primary drive ratio which should get the digi working 100%.
Its what my first build had and is a great bit of kit

lol GeorgeM its basically on my doorstep!
BigRich your MAC looks lovely, how'd you get the private plate? Mines Q plated
It looks near on identical to yours though. Gearing etc would be fantastic thanks. I'll call Mark tomorrow hes been loads of help.
I still gotta get pedals setup better, the throttle is on a spring return but I want to fix a plate to stop it coming so far forward, I also want to
get better front bulbs maybe with a slight blue tint to them
Is yours the 918 engine?
That car is my first build Dean, I sold it in 2006 and built a zx10r WorxRR.
The J reg is age related from the doner J reg Sierra i used for the build. It had a 98 rrw blade motor and was SVA'd in Feb2005
I will go and check my blade manual and post the ratios etc in a few minutes

Really appreciate that thanks.
Are the Worx much lighter? I can see a few things that could easily be made lighter on mine. Is the ZX engine much quicker?
I found mine nice 1 up but nothin amazing 2 up. Its quick dont get me wrong but the extra weight makes a huge difference.
Made me realise just how important keep weight to a min is on these
I will run this lump for 09 but will defo look to upping the power by next winter when it mostly goes under wraps
from a standard 9r to a worx is about 65 kilos lighter minimum, Mine has lighter gauge tubes aswell and a titanium exhaust manifold.
The zx is noticeably faster than a carbed blade, as it should be with nealyl 50 bhp more.
The biggest difference is driveability and torque. its a real small engine and very light. It will take 6th gear from 25mph and if you just put your
foot down will just start accelerating from this to well over 125 without a hesitation or any protest. plus it will almost get to 70 in 1st (69) on
the freelander diff i am using.
its a lot less affected by a passenger than my old blade aswell.
Suppose thats just progress though
Rich
