GSXR Injectors
OK... I know this has been done to death but...
I have searched on here and every other source/forum I can come across and yet i still cannot get a deffinative answer to a question that a LOT of
perople must have faced!!!!
So please don't groan when you read the next bit - I know it's more repetative than the one about poly bushes but give it a go! and maybe if
we get a deffinative answer it can become a sticky??
here Goes:
I have GSXR 750/1000 k2 throttle boddies. they are fitted with the standard injectors.
SO...
what is the flow rate of these? and are they high impedance?
I have found conflicting answers of 220, 240 and 270 for the flow rate (@3bar??) and no real answer on impedance...
I don't have any useful information like part numbers but here are some piccies:
Description
Description
Please only answer if you really do KNOW the answer.. the waters have been muddied enough already by people with only half a clue!
Cheers

You don't say which size throttle bodies, are they from a 600, 750, or 1000cc bike?
The clue is in your avatar, I assume 1000cc !

Well, the only way to resolve this is to find someone who has had one tested. My website quotes 270 for gsxr750 as that was the figure I dug out from
somewhere or other on the web. My injectors run a 1.8 zetec using a 2.5bar regulator at about 85% max duty cycle, so should be fine on a 3bar
regulator for a 2.0 zetec or similar.
They are definitely high impedance - my emerald ECU drives them directly with no issues.

Are they KEIHIN ones? They are good for 190bhp and flowed well enough at 3bar for my 160hp Zetec.
The next upgrade is either S2000 or Blackbird injectors which I believe are pretty good upto around 350hpish
I think they are the same impedence as Zetec injectors.

600 GSXR are 230cc so should be higher than that.

I've managed to find a GSXR1000 workshop manual which should have this in it (I'm fitting the same tbs). I'll dig it out ( I think
it's on my old laptop), and find the info for you.

I suspect it may be different for different vintages. Some of the Megasquirt firmware versions have a test mode so you can measure them yourself.

Only takes a few seconds to measure the impedance with a multimeter. Can't help with flow rate , sorry

DEFINATELY high impedance on the GSXR1000, I have used Flow Rate of 230cc/min in my calcs and it's mapped and racing now.
