Fitting new bosch fuel pump

Gents, currently fitting a new bosch 044 fuel pump but can anyone explain how I'm suppose to fit the fuel pipe onto this connection? My old pump was a bosch copy and it just had push in fittings.

Hi,
This is a Bosch classic that has caused head scratching to may people for years! For this kind of connection, you will need a banjo fitting, and a cap at the end of the bolt. Banjo, you can find anywhere, but the caps are not easy to get hold of. But you can find the here:

Or you remove the whole assembly from the pump and use the right combination of adaptor and fitting.

Hope that will help

Hi, many thanks for your reply. Yes i thought some sort if banjo fitting. The one I'm replacing has just push on fittings which is what I'd like to stick too but the threaded part on the new pump is much bigger than those on the link you sent me, I'll have a search around.

Are sure ? The thread on the kind of "banjo bolt" of a 044 should be M12x1.50, and the caps on the link I published are M12x1.50.
Check the "Description" tab on the product: http://www.glencoeltd.co.uk/sytec-fuel-unions- adaptors/cap-nuts/bosch-injection-pump-cap-nut-blue/

I bought this kit to fit my pump a few weeks ago.
BOSCH 044 FUEL PUMP M18x1.5 INLET & M12 BANJO OUTLET HOSE FITTING ADAPTOR SET
I could have got it cheaper but I wanted it delivering asap!
