I was making repair to my fuel sender last night and in the process I broke the flexible feed pipe. See pic.
pump
The questions I have are:
1, can I replace the broken pipe with normal rubber fuel line or even piping used for fish tanks and windscreen washers?
2, does the assembly move up and down much as the pipe I broke is obviously flexible.
To replace this unit is £233!!
Peed off that I broke it by being ham fisted!
has to be fuel resistant - normal rubber pipe isn't so it will degrade and break quickly.

I replaced the in tank fuel pump on a Volvo yesterday that used a piece of rubber pipe to join the pump to the housing . Reused the original pipe as it looked as good as new.
