Tubular Alloy Plenum
Rich_T - 29/8/06 at 10:29 AM

Further to my earlier post in the engine forum, Im quite fancying a tubular alloy plenum chamber on my Silver top Zetec. Is there any pre requirements regarding volume and/or airflow or would (in its most basic form) a sealed alloy tube connected to the throttle body with an outlet to the air filter.

Your thoughts and ideas appreciated on this.

Cheers

I used to have one from a Ginetta and the tube was about 100mm diameter if that helps

Ideally the plenum chamber should be at least the same capacity as your engine with each inlet tract being the same capacity as one cylinder.

You mean something like this?

Description plenum off car 1
Description plenum off car 1

Description plenum off car 2
Description plenum off car 2

Description plenum on car 1
