I've got some Hayabusa TB's to re-space and they will be far enough apart from each other that the butterfly balance adjusters will no
longer mesh.
Has any one got any bright ideas other than TIGing an extension on the flat 'tongue'?
Usual way is to bend the adjusters. I've done that for my GSXR bodies on a pinto and it's about at the limit of what's possible - this
is an increase in spacing of about 22mm.
I've seen another guy rivet small aluminium plates to the tabs which he said worked fine:

You can use aluminium bar (B&Q) bent and bolted through the existing arms as in my picture
here

Has anyone spaced carbs successfully , you've got the the fuel connections to alter.
I made some spindle extensions to allow me to use the original linkages after respacing the throttle bodys. They are just 10mm bar drilled one end to
fit in place of the linkage and turned down to replicate the original spindle then roll pinned in place.
Paul.
Spaced my carbs to the Centres of the Inlet Ports. See attached
There are a few options for the fuel rail with Carbs.
1.Machine new ones to fit the new spacing. (What i had done)
2.Cut the existing one in Half and extend with fuel hose and jubliee clips.
(Unsure about the suitability of this option for TB,s because of the higher pressure involved, but someone may be running this.)
3.Cut existing one and weld in an extension.
If there are any more i am sure someone will be along soon to tell you.
I personally had my butterfly linkage TIG welded. Although they are not under a lot of strain, constant vibration MAY loosen and put the carb/TBs out
of Tune. They come of easily, make some tabs and get them Tiged.
Hope this helps

Yep. I respaced mine successfully (about 2 years ago now - blimey time flies!!)
After respacing, I just spot welded a bit of bent bar on. (LSDWeb's solution looks a little neater)
As I was respacing to a DCOE manifold, I just bought a jenvey fuel rail.
