A while ago it was mentioned that I had made a fuel trap from a c02 cartridge.
i have it off the car and have a photo One pipe goes to the bottom of the cannister and the other is only at the top .The one going to the bottom is
connected to the manifold and the opposite one goes to the Map sensor the pipe to the manifold is restricted to damp the vacuum signal.
I found it completely stopped the fuel from reaching the map sensor .

Looks good neat idea. I was wondering though if you have to also stop the petrol vapour as well, any idea about this?
I fitted it because i could see fuel in the clear pipe leading to the Map sensor and didnt think it would be good for it. It should help to catch most
droplets and I dont think the fumes alone will do any harm as the sensors are designed for such use .

Would it need emptying occasionaly as I presume the fuel collects in the bulb? Or have I got things entirely ar*e

I guess the fuel get's sucked out via the long pipe the next time you start the car.
I think it does also , that was the design idea and ive never bothered to empty it .You could put a drain plug in the bottom though if you wanted,
maybe drill and tap the neck of it and use the complete cartridge.
