Just pondering some options for my V8 build. I have one of these fuel rails.
#M6968 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 2 V8 GS 2002 FUEL RAIL 0280151052 ERR6889
On the highest point of the fuel rail (small l shaped) there is a valve which is presumably for getting air out of the system. If I take the valve out
and simply attach my return feed at this point(i.e. put the pressure reg at this point), will the system still work?.
The fuel in you can see is at the bottom of the stainless tubing, and is 't'ed into the same tune as my proposed return...Thoughts?.

Thats how I planned on piping mine up, and no reason it wont work.
But, decided to use a VAG filter regulator and leave the scrader valve in place, figured Id have fewer visible hoses.

ETA Im also building a twin body plenum to keep the height down.

Never seen a filter like that before....how would that be plumbed in?.
Havent bought one yet, but on tha face of it, it looks like the high pressure in and tank return are on one and, and the 4 bar regulated output to the fuel rail is on the other end.
As I already have a nice SARD fuel pressure reg (anodised blue for extra bhp :-) ) I'm going to go with that. Had a play around last night with
the fitting and the new fuel rail (with some cutting and bending) fits a treat.
Yes I'm tempted to go more conventional like that too, I didn't realise you were using a gems/ hotwire base manifold, I have a Gems rail
with feed and return, which will screw onto your manifold.
What finish red is that? Aerosol wrinkle or powder coat, I do like it.....
