If you have a Ford Zetec engine and want to hook it up to an ordinary 104-pin EEC-V ecu, you may find the attached a useful starting point.
The first picture aims to show the entire engine wiring, in schematic form on a single page. The other 3 are views of the connectors referred to on
the schematic.
This information has been drawn from a number of sources, and cross-referenced for accuracy as far as possible. However, mistakes will always occur.
Where they do, they are mine and mine alone.
The text at the top of the picture is important and must be read, especially the bit about no responsibility being accepted for damage or injury
resulting from its use. If you cannot accept this, you must not use it. I am an amateur and do not profess to have any real expertise in the field
of engine electronics.
The schematic only purports to show how my engine loom has been put together, for my particular ecu/engine combination.
I am grateful to Warren (big_wasa) for constructing the loom on which this post is based, and for being one of the principal sources of
information.
To see the detail clearly, it is probably best to right-click each one and do a ‘save picture as…’
If that doesn't work for you, u2u me with your email address & I'll send you the file in pdf form.
Hope you find this post helpful

At last, someone as come up with an easy to understand diagram...
saves scratching your head for hours, should be a boon to anyone going the ford ECU route...
Thanks for your effort and input,
Update...
For reasons of access, I've now ditched the idle control valve in favour of a nyloc on the throttle stop to prevent the butterfly from closing
completely when your foot's off the throttle. Seems to work just as well.
Any feedback on this topic would be welcome.
I will be honest, the lack of interest doesn't make me want to put the effort in for the st170 loom info.
Can't say I blame you. But aren't you selling the car anyway?
keep up
I've sold it, its been Iva'd and its now hooning around west Yorkshire on a 13 reg.
Description
I've worked out the st wiring loom. I've modified the engine. I've got it running and its now prov' sold.
Very impressive.
As well as the wiring info could you point out what all the boxes on your setup actually are?
I can see the key and coil presumably for the Pats, but what are all the others?
Thanks
spegru

Following an overwhelming number of requests (OK - 4 if you must know!) I've added an extra page to the schematic.
It shows the same detail as before, but this time with the loom laid out as it would be on a seven-style car.
Must admit it looks more user-friendly that way.
Anyway - u2u me with your email address if you want the pdf of the new version.
