Always a defining moment in any ones build.
My most favorite after assembling two boxes of engine parts for the first time ever.
Nice one !!
post another when it's running sweet(er)
Nice one! great feeling when it starts!!
well done, sounds like those ITB's need a bit of balancing.
Its aliiiiive !
Is'nt it a nice feeling.
I think you're right Matt! Cheers for your help. I have since changed to the MS2 extra code and its a great improvement.
It idles now so I can balance them when I've bodged a manometer to do it with. Still grinning!
Congratulations... Next step is that first drive with this engine!
Mark.
Very good, was hoping to be doing the same thing today with the new blacktop but lost the drain plug out of me Rad, doh .
Think I'd prefer to watch Doris swinging her p@ps in real life though.
Cheers,
Bob
Evening all.
It was very obvious that I needed to balance the bodies! I was going to bodge a manometer myself out of washer tubing and water, but I realised I
would need about a 4 meter column of water, so I quickly scrapped off that idea. I am a bit tone deaf, so I thought I'd get a Morgan Carbtune
rather than do the piece of tube in the ear trick. Results below!
Before:
Which ran like this (I managed to cover the mic with my thumb for the second half- sorry):

This changed the fuelling massively! I adjusted it back around idle, but it's pretty terrible everywhere else which is why it doesn't rev
freely. Yet! An afternoon playing with the fuelling to come. I could also get the balance a bit better but it was getting dark, so I had to put my
toys away.
It's running much, much better now. It's also the first time I've had it up to temperature properly, and the fan kicked in a couple of
times so my wiring is completely terrible!
And now I have a shiny new MOT certificate.... see you at Stoneleigh!!
