why do the axel 1 weight (425kg) and axel 2 weight (500kg) not equal the gross weight? (975kg)

Interesting question that one. I had 425, 425, 950 on my form and SVA rejected it - said the computer wouldnt accept them when calculating the brake balance. I changed mine to 850 total, im just hoping that doesnt affect anything later.

I have to say Mark that posting that pic is akin to waiving the proverbial red rag to Bull

The gross weight is not the actual weight it's the design weight. If you have it wrong they will work it out for you when they do the brake test calculations. edit:- I'm selling copies of it with your details edited in

I reckon they've dropped a small b0llock but like Pete say's, they are only the design weights and not the actuals so its a fairly insignificant error.

Congratulations Jos, get it registered and then get out there and have some fun. Just wait until it's a bit drier though.

Yup got it registered same day. I will get to a local weigh bridge to get a proper weight but I doubt whether its that close to a ton even with the boat anchor in the front

fesycresy - 9/12/05 at 07:55 PM

Well done. Time to pull my finger out and get mine finished.

Wading through the bullshit, I think most CEC's weigh close to 600kg and the BEC's weigh close to 500kg, after seing the effort getting down to 435kg with the Worx.

olv - 9/12/05 at 08:05 PM

how come the sva centre weigh machines are so inaccurate? sorry i know nothing about them.

jos - 9/12/05 at 08:22 PM

Those figures are the figures I declared on my SVA1 form, not the actual axle weights only design weights

bigrich - 9/12/05 at 08:23 PM

well done jos you got there in the end. I would guess at the car wieghing in at 600kgs Gross wieght and axle wieghts are the max allowed to wiegh when passengers/luggage etc are added not the wieght of the vehicle
