MNR Suspension Holes. Square or round?
I can't decide whether to cut the holes in my tub square or round for the suspension mounts. Hole saw or Dremmel?
Help me decide.

Circles = Hole saw
Squares = Dremel
As for what you decide it to you.

Round or Oval will look much better IMHO and as above U section edge trim will then be easy to fit to finish the holes for SVA.

I would personally go for round with a hole saw as then at least you have some consistancy with each one!

Round. Square holes are prone to producing cracks that originate from the corners. Will save you having to stay drilling tiny holes in the GRP to
stop the crack lines growing in a few years time.

How about two circles and a square between them, not quite an oval but you get to use the hole saw and the dremmel.
ps. any corner will act as a stress concentrator, (decisions have been based on less!)

I've done 2 holes side by side, united by 2 horizontal Dremel cuts - sort of oval with parallel sides
Cheers,
Joao
