MNR Tytan project in the news

Total Kit Car have a news story this week about what started off as the MNR Tytan. The Tytan Project was given over to a guy in Yorkshire who rebranded it the MBR Wolf. Since showing the demonstrator at the Autosport show at the NEC has put the whole project up for sale. Anyone here got some spare cash?

Would be interested to know what sort of price he's looking for... I was quite taken by various aspects of the car at the Autosport show.

Sorry, but my eyes could never get past the front end to look at the rest of the car.

I'm afraid that the first 12 inches of the car looks like it was designed by someone whos day job is making some of the more tasteless replacement front bumpers for Corsas and Fiestas.

I genuinely couldn't tell you what the rest of the car looks like as this bit totally kills it for me. Rescued attachment Tytan Front.jpg

Have you seen it in the flesh.

It 'looks' like a 60s F1 car from a distance.
Close up, it's collossal.

We saw it at Autosport and very quickly worked out that's it's designed to be a fairly massive but safely built 1.5x scaled up 60s looky likey that probably won't kill it's fairly rich owner.

(I must stop being so negative, but there you go. That's what it is. It won't be winning any events near you any time soon.)

no i,ve not seen it in the flesh, it does look like a lot of work has gone into the detail & as you say a "rich owner" would be proud of it, but as i am most definitly NOT rich it won,t be sitting in my garage ( tarpalin lean too) he he as monty python would say " a lean too, thats luxury" lol.

Do a search using the words 'ugly' and 'sylva' in here.

You'll find plenty posts from me.

Unfortunately, I had my tame race car builder in the shed last week and he commented on the front chassis design.

It got me thinking to a redesign some time down the road.

If I were to do this, the front styling could be totally changed.

So - finish the engine conversion by the summer.

Store the sylva elswhere.

Build a mid engined sports racing car.
Current working name - the Clubzil

Clubzil
Clubzil

Then get the Sylva back home and change the front of the chassis and all of the front bodywork.

That'll keep me going....

Yes, the front was not one of the bits that caught my eye!

PS - That 60's F1 jobby looked fab at the Autosport show... sure, a bit chunky, but very nicely detailed!
