Build is progressing nicely with the fuel lines in, brake lines, wiring loom, bulkheads, pedals, master cylinders and fuel tank.
Body work goes on tomorrow, then its the moving parts....
Can't believe how quickly these things go together once you start...

I'd like to say 4 days ladies and gentlemen..
Marc has been a godsend to have on hand.. thanks marc, his mum has really looked after me as well, thanks Mary...
Lessons to learn are about supplies when you are building on a schedule and also, thinking about the jobs you can be doing when waiting for those
supplies....
Lost a lot of time due to standing about when I should have been doing another project...
I hope I am not catching Mark Reynard Syndrome...

Unreal mate! Not many people can say they've built their car from scratch in the designer and manufacturers garage!
Not many manufacturers would allow you to either!!
Just goes to show how accomodating Marc and his family are...
Well done Mark and again enough respect to Marc and his family for sorting you out in your slightly abnormal situation.
Hope it sounds as nice as it looks! Keep the pics a comin!
Do you mind if I host the pics on my site under the 'misc' section?
And if Marc's reading this, do you mind if I host the Build Manual for others to read also?
Take it easy,
Chris.
P.S. Cheeky little cameo by G.Man in this pic...

Note the collosal 50 litre fuel tank with baffles and fuel cell foam...
Should be good for about 1000 miles lmao
Things to watch out for...
1. Make sure you put the rear master cylinder on the offside of the car, Don't ask..
2. Remove as much powder coat as possible on bolt holes, mounting flanges bearing seats etc etc..
3. When fitting a 7.5 inch diff you MUST remove the backplate of the diff, dont struggle for ages like I did...
4. Gravi Gard covers any metal parts, fully clean or not and can be over painted
5. Do as much as humanly possible before fitting bodywork
6. Have a seat on hand to sit down when doing some jobs, your back will thank you, especially if you are over 6 foot...
7. Have post it notes handy to write reminders
8. Do a job/project list for each day with parts you have available, you don't have to follow the order in the build manual, in fact leaving the
upper scuttle panel (the one the battery mounts into) until last before the bodywork, will afford you greater access to lots of areas.
9. If you are fitting a quaiffe reverse box, dont run the fuel/brake lines down the centre of the tunnel Like I have, it will make life difficult
later
10. when running brake/fuel lines, wiring, double up on multiple p-clips per rivet, makes for a tidier instalation and less drilling hassle.
11. If you are considering a torque resiliant tube prop, discuss it with Marc, as he will be able to give you more room in the chassis (if its
required) as the prop is 2.5 inches in diameter...
PS. What do you think of the 100% round tube chassis and the new front end?

Hey Mark,
Yeah the full res pictures would be nice. When you finish you could slap them all on a CD then bust us a copy I'll put them all up. If
that's cool with you?
1. Make sure you put the rear master cylinder on the offside of the car, Don't ask.
When you say offside, do you mean the right hand hole of the two in the pedal box?
3. When fitting a 7.5 inch diff you MUST remove the backplate of the diff, dont struggle for ages like I did...
What diff are you using? 7.5 inch Granada? What Ratio?
4. Gravi Gard covers any metal parts, fully clean or not and can be over painted.
What's Gravi Gard, when it's at home? What are the uses of it?
10. when running brake/fuel lines, wiring, double up on multiple p-clips per rivet, makes for a tidier instalation and less drilling hassle.
Is this still possible if coupling fuel and brake lines down one side of the transmission tunnel? i.e. Would it not get in the way of the centre
bearing/reverse box?
11. If you are considering a torque resiliant tube prop, discuss it with Marc, as he will be able to give you more room in the chassis (if its
required) as the prop is 2.5 inches in diameter.
Am ordering a TRT prop. Hope it'll fit in the chassis I've got...
The round tube chassis looks like sex on a stick! Absolutely awesome! Got the last split round/RHS chassis. Maybe it'll be a collectors item in
50 years??
Looking sweet bud...

Off side is the right when sitting in the drivers seat...
Gravi gard is a stone chip resistant paint
Diff is a 7.5 inch cosworth sierra LSD 3.62 ratio
Yes they can still share if you are careful or lay them after fitting the reverse box...
Mine is okay in the stock tunnel as the diff and reverse box arent mobile, but it would do no harm to mention to gain some additional clearence...
TRT was £55 supplement from MNR's supplier

slow day today as was at the SVA with Marc on another customers car, but blitz day on mine tomorrow, so should see some action...
Wiring is almost complete and we have starter and spark which is a good sign...
all the electrics that have been wired are working so fingers crossed when I finish it off we have some action...
finalise gear linkage tomorrow, turn the reverse box around to move the gearlever to the rear of the box and then rest of bodywork, brakes finished
off, dry sump tank in and a few p-clips then finally the water plumbing...
Fingers crossed..
