yay she is back on the road again...
Took her for a blast today on wet roads and love the "sideways in a straighline" action the toyo 888's give....
just awesome fun...
taking the laptop down tomorrow to get her a basic mapping tweak as she is well rich in most places...
would you belive the back brakes are starting to stick now... darn cheapo wilwood master cylinders...
Oh and she is still boiling over even with the new pace rad and cold weather... i feel I may have a problem somewhere in the cooling....
PS. she went back together a lot faster than she came apart... dry sump went back on no problems this time... whole job, replace dry sump and clutch,
2.5 hours...

Well the new water pump and new master cyls going on this week, fingers crossed all will be fine for a good blast this weekend to remap it on
road..
May be doing a hillclimb with it in march, so looking to lose some weight now... althought it will be quicker than anything competing there
anyway..

mhhh
if its never cold there
you seriously could think about ditching the thermostat.
also you could add an extra pump in parallel to double up the flow (or in series for pressure)
also you could union 2 rads (in series)
Tks

Using a Pace caterham 4 core race rad, ditched the thermostat (even tho it is very cold here at the moment) and using an EWP80 davies craig on full
time running...

Finished fitting and plumbing the pump today, took it for a spin, and no boiling over... looks like I have sorted it at last..
Have a minor oil leak from the dry sump pump fittings, well I say minor, but its gonna be a bitch to get to the fittings to tighten them...
arrgghhh
Think I am gonna plasma cut a hole in the steel firewall and then pop rivet an access patch over the hole...
Too a few people for a spin today, they loved it, then went for a spin on my own and its like driving a different car solo..
Very fast, and so much more responsive..
Car was very squirelly under braking, then i spotted how much toe out was on the car... wound some off and that improved it a lot.. think we added
that for sva and forgot to take it off.. lol, anyway, a quick geometry check will be done once its all ready to go...
I am a happy bunny

Thanks guys
I am so happy it is ready to drive properly, I even taxed it yesterday...
£21 for 12 months, arranged online and printed on home printer...
My forester was £139
Yes it is depressing how much difference a passenger makes, I was truely astonished... thinking of removing passenger seat now and having some luggage
space for road use

No need for u2u, leave it here, in case other brits follw..
Firstly, make sure you have all the documentation, past insurance in uk, for at least last 6 months, proof of work and ending in uk..
If your reg doc does not quote the type approval number from the SVA cert, you will need the SVA cert, or at least a copy, and they will have to
verify with VOSA.
Will need MOT, I can help you with that, SVA test, Not like UK, just a brief check...
Then you will need alien registration card, proof of purchase or rental of property in cyprus, and employment or income...
after that, prety straightforward..

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Got the rest of the money I was owed, he witheld it because of some issues with the car. I don't want to discuss them here, I am sure he and
Marc are discussing solutions.

I got the bug again now, but this time doing a 205 GTi with an engine "upgrade".
Had to be white again ofc
Engine going in is a GTi-6 with Zsara VTS 5 speed box (the 6 speed doesnt fit right).
Who knows, it may even end up with a Rotrex supercharger kit on at some stage

Weird, every single picture in this thread showing my build has disappeared, even though they are still on my photobucket, not even showing broken
links, its as if the img links have been removed from the thread.
Anyway, my pug is finished
