hello all

making good progress, body all proof fitted, as is front end, but have some questions regarding the rear end

1. i have fitted my rear uprights correctly but the only way i can mount the caliper brackets is so the calipers are towards the rear of the car, is this ok ?

2. i have fitted my rear drive shafts, hubs etc, but the drive shaft spring is nearly fully compressed approx 5mm movment, is this ok ? i would have thought it needed more movment than 5 mm considering there is no load on the susspenssion at the moment

Most people fit the calipers to face the front so are you sure that you have your uprights fitted on the correct sides?

The calipers will probably end up with their bleed nipples facing downwards so you will have to remove them for bleeding.

Also, check that you have clearance on the driveshafts when the suspension is in full bump and droop. They will have minimum play when they are mid way (driveshafts level)

in answer to your questions.

1 It is ok to have the calipers at the back of the rear disc. You can have them either in front or behind, if you want them in front you will need to swap the uprights over from left to right and will also need to use the left caliper on the right hand side of the car.

2 The drive shafts if you are using pushin type need to be pushed in against the spring for them to fit to the hub, this is perfectly normal and you will have enough movement when on it's wheels.

hi finlay calipers at back is fine ( doesnt matter which way )
shafts sounds ok too
