What's the best spring to use at the pedal end?
I nabbed one from an angle poise at work! Seems perfect!
Spring from angle poise
Chris.
There are some good springs on the pedal set out of a sierra. iirc

I haven't got one. I rely on the one on the carb. No problems so far.
Having a spring at the pedal end only returns the pedal, not the cable. With my setup it is better to have a spring at the TB end otherwise the cable gets slack and the nipple can come adrift from the pivot.
Your right, but the main reason I added the spring to the pedal end (same as Chris), was to increase the feel of the pedal, as the standard carb
spring was too light.

Old car seats at the scrapyard have loads of springs in, I use them on no end of projects.
I've actually seen a couple of BEC accidents which were due to the throttle being waaaaaay too light. You should have to push hard....
Colin - surprised you haven't done this? Did you do ballet as a boy and as a result have above average pedal feel?

I'm sure they sell springs in the back of vehicle wiring products catalogue although I think it's a big kit.
I'd go halves with you though and we could chuck what we didn't want on E-bay?
R1 side stand has a perfect spring on it
I now have a much better pedal feel.
