Vortxs or Vorti
amalyos - 23/9/06 at 07:52 PM

What are more than 1 Vortx called?

Weather was great today, good day spent in the Essex lanes pitting R1 against Zetec.
Lots of missed gears, hitting neutral instead of 2nd, ouch.
I definately need a rejet, I can't pull above 10K

Cheers Dion, had a good day, sorry Reece for hitting the puddle (hence the mud).

I love the styling of the Vortx, But still can decided if I like the full front arches,(sorry can't afford one which is why I had to build) I must say that they could cut down on road spray no end.

Don't fret about me, just had a week on the Isle of wight with the family and am awaiting the next dry day so I can go for a drive.

Hi Steve
car looks great.
That missing second think is a real pain, is it because you using clutch for upchanges its way less likely without. The throttle return spring at the carb end also seemed to help a bit.
Remember after a miss the tendency is to try to bang it back in which worked for me right up until I banged the top of the gearstick off .

Hope the weather holds

cheers Pete

I recon it must be votises.

the rap round mud gards are a godesend when you hit the puddles or its wet.

they stop allot of the sparay exiting sideways.

Ps well done chaps for fighting the MNR corner . should we agree on a brace of vortx ill let you two decide on which is which

All the best agriv8

The nice thing about the full front arches is the choice. Since you start with a 'big' one, you can trim it whatever way you like, even back down to a standard size.

The look the mutts nuts guys!

The front arches are an aquired taste I think but apparently they help aerodynamics from the normal 7 brick...

They do help on the crap spraying front too. I'm going with full arch and then if they look a bit intrusive, put a similar black inset on the arch as Marc has done on his Orange beast...

It'll be great when we can get a proper gaggle of VortI (another possibility?) together. May even get my engine fired up next week! Just gotta find me a good crimping tool now...

I got marc to trim mine, they dont look (and aren't) as heavy that way..
