i am in the market for a new kit and have decided on everything except the colour! its driving me mad. all i know is i dont want,red,black,orange or yellow as a main colour(body,bonnet,nose cone) but would consider black as a secondary colour (front and rear arches) what are your personal favourites?
the few which have cought my eye at moment are road warriors white/black R1. pauls zzr1400 in kawa green and a westy i saw in a kit car mag which was on the westy stand at a show.it was a purple blue colour with black arches.

I am thinking either white or silver with black arches.

Can't beat a bit of BRG with yellow nose cone or bonnet stripe/nose band.

If you're willing to paint, then gunmetal is the way to go.

seems like people are thinking lewis's F1 car. a bit like duncan cowpers dax (busa turbo) it does look cool

The other toy.....not a 'seven' is Moonland .... (that's gunmetal grey) ...pretty cool too!

I would say purple with brushed aly sides
is the best but i dont want you to paint it that colour as theres not many purple ones about at the moment.

Just been in a similar position.... I went for black frame, black cage, white bodywork with black 'wings'.

Also makes it easier to paint if I get bored in 95 years time when its done!

Inconsequential/pointless/dull/never-going-to-happen Grey...

Or a homosexual Pink...

The pic below was taken a million years ago. ( about 1996 IIRC)
This was my old Robin Hood which used to live right where it's parked in the picture at the flats where we used to live.
That was my take on BRG with yellow.



Nowadays, I could be tempted by gunmetal with a silver stripe with anthracite coloured barnby rims or CXRs.

That's almost a Foose colour scheme.

I see loads of solid coloured sevens and it all gets a bit dull after a while.

Personally i think 7'esque cars must have black wings front and back, and then 1 colour for the body tub.

My fave colours for the body tub are Yellow, white, and orange.

My least fave colour by a long way is green, especially BRG

i did quite like the colour of your VortX though, black arches with light blue body tub.

If i was including painted colours, and not just coloured Gel coat then i would say i really like Metallic grey tody tub

Dark purple or graphite grey with orange bits like wheels, cage mirrors etc would be something id consider next along. I also saw a pretty cool caterham at one of the southern meets a few months back its in my blog below and was a turquoise green with salmon red high lights like on the mirrors etc it looked stunning.

I went for white with black arches. Its what i think looks best!
