Some good ideas there!
Found a really simple and easy way of doing mine with this type of grill:

You see the 4 pins that point up and down from the grill.
I cut the bottom pins in half.
Then drilled 4 corresponding holes in the lip of the inside of the nosecone.
Then fit the grill pins into the upper holes first and then slot it downwards into the lower holes. It'll then stay there fine.
Zero added weight, cheap (well, free) and simple to do.

If you've got the new shape nose, it is a bit tricky - we built up pads of glass mat in the corners (and the midle behind the badge), let them
cure, then screwed the grille to it where we could, and glassed it in where we couldn't - then painted the new mat black to match the other
stuff. Have to be careful where the runny resin drips tho....

Westfield 'Mega' technology involves simply butting the grill up against the inside of the return lip in the nosecone, securing with cable
ties through a hole drilled in seach 'corner' of the hole.
Works for me
hi i sikaflexed 4 pieces of wood in each corner then screwed 4 screws with washers to hold the grill in place. Also run a bit of sikaflex around the
edges. more pics in my archive.

Rescued attachment nosecone mesh 2.jpg
I just used glass fibre paste - i think its p40. After shaping the grill i put the paste on generously. it doesnt look like it works its way in too well between the mesh but one pot did the whole thing and its amazing how tight it is now - i doubt it will ever budge!
What size hole in the mesh are people using and where to get it from?
i bonded a few bolts around the nose cose.
bond the heads down with the threads pointing out.. then when they ahve stuck push the mesh over, use a repair washer, then put tighten up with a
nut... that way you can easily remove/replace the mesh as many times as you like without having to do any hacking/chopping
