What do you think of this?
Not much response to ideas here: http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=98930
A few more here: http://www.sxoc.co.uk/vbb/showthread.php?t=376869
But I think I've settled on this:
And without the roof / screen (SVA friendly )

I like it but not too sure about the roofless version. The remaining roof section would cause a LOT of drag.
Is that on a standard locost chassis?
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Im liking the idea of it with a full GRP S13 shell stuck on top.. or even go for a Sil80 on top for the look of even more JDM Tyteness

I'd remove the rear hatch screen and put a flat engine cover on.

If you could do a clip on roof / screen with wipers and washers all in 1, then that would be good. Obviously, you'd need an electrical
connection but it would be neat. You'd need half doors, though, or you'll be getting in "Dukes of Hazzard" style.

I did consider Sil80. It's getting one to make the GRP replica panels from that's the problem. My expectation is to get some S13 panels -
it's the wings, front and rear, that I really need, and chop them down and tack them all in place on the chassis, then make a buck from that.
The whole S13 shape would be significantly changed from stock, more LMP, but still an S13, if you know what I mean, like this GTR, which is obviously
a GTR, but nothing liek the shell of it's road going cousin. Wings cut down, bonnet below the line of the top of the wheels etc
Here's the "orignal" S13 overlaid on my chassis

No, it's my own design.

Yes, I'd like the entire screen to be removable, including washers / wipers, all attached to the front half of a roll cage. that bolts in.
Split doors are in my "plan". Bottom half in line with the top of the upper chassis rail and "fixed". Not sure whether to make
the top half open like a normal door, or to attached the top half of the door to the side window with a hinge. Hing the window to the roofd, and split
the roof down the middle, to open gull wing style.

Get rid of the naff spoiler and it might look OK.
I'd rather see a group C-inspired sportscar top on it though

chaparal
Amongst the first to experiment with BIG wings. They developed a wing which attached to the rear uprights, rather than the chassis, so that the down
force from the wing didn't compress the suspension and alter other dynamics

OK, the prototype S13 is a go-er. Rear set of lights just bought (£20 delivered ). Nice chap is giving me a pair of doors. Someone else has an
accident dammaged shell that I'm going to take a stihl saw to. Someone else is donating a wing.
Exciting!
