The RAT look poll
Ok guys and girls, out of curiosity now that I'm seeing these beaters even in old Aberdeen. What's your opinion on this craze? God knows
why I bothered to spend so much on my bug! Rust is in, apparently...

Old veedubs look so cool as rat look but it is a fine balance to get it right.

Maybe get rid of that overspray as well on the tyre, you don't want the paintwork that good!

maybe I should leave it outside for a few months to build up a nice layer of rust... or even drive the bluebird into it a few times cos it looks
too straight now

Hehe, the second pic, the Merc is a Hungarian one... Funny. Most Merc drivers here think they own the country, so its fun to see someone with a sense
of humour... even though the car is ugly...
But I like the Beetle!

As said, done right it's great but some mabye take it too far, it needs to be fit to use! The green Merc is just wrong! If it were a 1960/70
saloon with well faded paint it could carry it really well but it just dosent look right, it's over-done & too modern.
There's a Mini sat in a shed at work, been in there 10 years or more & covered in dust, tyres flat etc. I think it looks great as it is,
waiting for the time when somebody turns it into something brilliant.
If we actually cleaned it somehow it just would'nt look as good.

I think the rat rod look can be made to work on newer cars but some subtlety is required. For instance, I think this works but some may not like it

kin scene boys get on my tits, and the pretentious VW lot are the worse imo.
The local club round here seem to have a superiority complex because they drive some poxy run of the mill german shitbox.
You couldn't pwn your way out of a wet paper bag, with "PWN ME!!" written on it, from the "pwned take-away" which originally contained one
portion of chicken tikka pwnsala and the obligatory free pwnpadom.
