Aeroscreen fittings
Can anyone with a fibreglass aeroscreen tell me what they found the neatest fittings are to fit it to the scuttle?? I was looking for some black allen
fitting button heads but am struggling to find some on ebay at the moment
Could go for these but seem a little over the top

how about the plastic clips used for fitting motor bike windsceens?
There usually used in production cars to hold the inner plastic wings on so you could just get them out the scrappy. Very strong as the scars on my
hand testify

What about black number plate nuts and screws?
Being plastic, they won't rust!

Plain button heads + can of old engine oil + blowtorch + thick gloves, goggles and pliers => black button heads.
Heat em up drop em in. Do outside

Similar to the ebay ones, but including plastic washers and rubbery nut thingies, desogned for m/cycle screens, are about a tenner for a packet of 8
from Halfords. That's what I used, and I'm pleased with the result

i have fiber glassed some bolts to the inside of the aero screen then drilled holes through the scuttle and bolted it down easy and no nasty fixings
showing at all

Now there's a brilliant idea. Looks really neat too. How did you manage to mark out where you needed to drill holes accurately??

I would have thought, drill the holes in the scuttle and poke a marker through to the aeroscreen, and then glue the bolts to the aeroscreen on the
marks?
That's the way I would have done it !

Good idea mate - makes sense when you put it like that doesnt it. Scuttle is still off so think i might just do that before fixing it down.
