The F1-2 evolves!!!!

Now that the car is road legal, the quick panel fix that got it there is going.
Here are the mock up photos for the car. The side panels will have to be remade and a new rounded scuttle panel from the nose to the dashboard.
I also want to fit a single element front wing (if someone has one cheap?)
The nose comes off a F3 Renard 873.
The nose is not fully on as the side panels are holding it forward by a couple of inches, but you should get the idea.
I might have to change the name of the car from the F1-2 to the Indy-2 though!

Still waiting on my side rails for the Motaleira. Should be this week though.
Hopefully the F1-2 will be quite quick to do. I just need to modify/make 3 aluminium panels and modify the nose framework.
The front wing can wait a while.

Much prefer the new nose... where's the number plate going?

New nose looks good, looks like it needs to be moved back about 8" - 10" though?

It will go back about 2".
There will also be the lighting bar in front of the wishbones running through the slot

I have just removed the front suspension to get the side panels off. Just took over an hour. Once these panels are remade I will need to remount the internal nose frame which is just a cut and shut job.
The nose needs a little fibreglass work underneath to match it with the floor line, but nothing major. A new curved scuttle panel will also have to be made to match both side panels and the nose.
I have just spoken to someone from the racecarsdirect website who has the correct front wing for the nose.
He is going to email me some photos.
I am in Redditch on Wednesday and he lives in Coventry, so hopefully I will pickup the wing then.
Most things are in hand, but the slowest part of the job is going to be getting everything painted.

I didn't make this nose, (although I have made all the other panels), it was a lucky ebay find.
