Mine is currently using narrow hinges, bolted onto bodywork and bonnet.

it just opens back to the screen doesn't appear to show any stree cracks.. but i may re-inforce the new ones just in case!

does not fire up

battery a bit low from leaving ignition on

I bulilt a Melos as my first kit car project when I was about 20 yrs old. Ages ago now. Where abouts are you in Essex Dave as I'd quite like to see one again.

they also look a bit like the boot hinges that are fitted to the Pilgrim Sumo that Mark Evans builds in A Car is Born if that helps
