side pael idea

Hi, anybody seen/got a picture of a car with side panels like this one i made up? Are there any problems with this (supposed to b like 3 big luvres)? I know in theory it will lose a bit of torsional stiffness but that shouldnt make a massive differece would it? I intend to make the middle panel removeable but well held on if you know what i mean. ps, hope you dont mind if this is your car

torsional striffnes shouldn't be an issue, as i'm sure that panel does not bear any weight (i'm not building a seven) but, as said above, do it after SVA

my car has one on each side. massivly reduced the under hood temp. If you see my avatar or look in my archive you can see the front has black pannels the overlap the stainless by arround 3 inch and are off the stainless by arround 1 to 1.5 inch

Even just one will make a difference and even more so if you panel the underside as well.

louvres and grills used for engine cooling just have to be blunted IIRC. That said you never know what an inspector is going to decide
