Personally, I'd be looking for a teardrop-shaped bulge, and put round holes (with screening) on the sides of it, leaving the front of the bulge closed to keep out rain, grit, etc. Not sure where you'd find one, but I have seen power bulges like this advertised somewhere.

take a llok at the bulge I sold (in for sale- maybe a couple weeks ago) to give you an idea of what I would use if it were me.

Hi.

That shape, a sort of open ended teardrop, would be dead easy to form in ally.

Fix in place with M4 stainless button heads?

The bulges in the side of my nose cone are that shape, and I formed those by pushing it over a 50mm dia bar.
A length of exhaust pipe would do.

If you fancy a go U2U me
