exterior mirrors for the 7
Hi All
Can I ask your experience at the type of exterior rear view mirrors you have for the 7. I found convex type not giving me a clear view then the flat
type was not wide enough. It has been a limited choice on the market as I felt the stem had to be very long as well and it had to be fixed to the
front screen pillars.
It would be an immense help to know, what type you have and your views?

I've got R1 bike mirrors on my Fury. They were available as long or short arms. Unfortunately they're flat glass as a convex would be better
on the n/s.

I'm just using cheap motorcycle mirrors on my locost. Mounted off the scuttle as there were already holes in it when I got it so handy to have
bolts in those holes! The fairing mount type usually have a base with two bolt holes so give a stable mount and I've found there is then
sufficient adjustment and enough extension to see behind. Circa £18-£20 a pair off ebay.

Did the same on my MK Indy. I re-used the Ford Sierra centre reR view mirror screwed to the scuttle as well. Gave me ample rear viewage for road
driving. No issues with SVA either.

No link I'm afraid, I built my car 2005-8 and bought the mirrors off Ebay. I'm sure there are plenty more on there. Check for ones with
free shipping and option to return.

This kind of thing. There are loads more to choose between. Some have slightly different mounting arrangements so check the pics for the ones that
look like they'd fit best

I put R1 mirrors on mine but they were convex glass and worked well for me - bought from Normous Newark autojumble and boxed as a pair and under
£20

Checking back through my Photo Archive it appears I bought wing mirrors for a Honda NC 29/30.
Link here to a pair on Ebay (I'm sure there'll be plenty more on Ebay an on the web).

They look pretty much identical to the ones I bought and used. Worked well for me, passed SVA and gave a great field of view.
