Top coat of paint

I've got a Locost. It's only got two cycle wings, a nose cone and two rear wings that need painting. Everything else is stainless. I've sprayed the two cycle wings with cans of paint and they look pretty good. However, they look dull. What can I spray on them to give them a glossy finish?

You can get clearcoat in tins now, although I can't give an indication on how good it looks. There was a time when cars could be made (reasonably) shiny without clearcoat though, all it needed was a little elbow grease.

You should really have clearcoated the colour coat while it was still tacky. I would flat back the colour coat a little then give it another colour coat followed by a few coats of clear. Don't worry if the clear doesn't look that glossy, you need to leave it a week to harden then polish it.
