Carbon diffuser fitting...
Ok so getting ready to fit the Carbon diffuser I bought from Tony... The profile of the bottom of the rear panel and the diffuser is obviously going
to be different so I need to fabricate an adapter. Not sure the best way of doing this yet but not having a fully enclosed floor the diffuser will if
fitted flush to the rear panel will be like a scoop... So should I allow air to pass through the adapter between the rear panel and the diffuser?
That said making the adapter... Probably good to have a go at making a fibreglass adapter.. So I need to make a buck. I will need to shape the
material that I make the buck from so anyone recommend what I should use? I need to be able to cut and shape it easily.
Hope this all makes sense...

I purposely made mine so there was a gap between it and the body panel.
Although mine was flush at the back of the floor there was air coming down the tunnel so thought I would gap it to let it, and warm air off the diff
out.

where are you fitting that? are you intending on a rear diffuser/undertray? as it looks way too short front-back.
ideally the whole area between the rear tub lower pannel and main floor pan needs covering to stop any air getting above the diffuser and getting into
the area of the rear axle and hitting the rear pannel (causing the parachute effect)
same with the front end.flat ally pannel will do the job easily!

Yep plan is at the back under the rear panel.. More cosmetic than anything else but don't want to create a stability problem....

id make an alloy pannel to fill the gap.bolt one end to the floor pan and the other to the top of the leading edge of the diffuser to enclose the full
area

Heres another pic of mine, when you say 'cosmetic' you have it all wrong!
This extended way forward and I used the seat mounting bolts to fasten it up against the floor. The effect was amazing, it smoothed the ride from the
back end out real nice and you could fell the difference it made..
Dont put one on just for looks.. dear me..

something like coozers will be perfect. flat along the bottom, fixed to floor pan. raised upwards at the rear fixed to the rear tub lower panel, with
some fins. it should help the rear end. id also flat floor the front if you can.

Here's picture of mine fitted to my old aries, just used rivnuts with bolts at the rear, fitted into the fuel tank support rail, you can see
the gromets sealing the drill/bolt holes. and then just pop rivets into the floor pan at the front, but as already said, yours will require fitting
to a aluminium under tray, then fix that to the floor pan, yours looks like ones fitted to MNR's and similar to the Road running SR2
