Photos of the finished bodywork

I took the past week off to finish the body work.

No comments about the front suspension, it's not bolted up yet.

There are a few things I am not exactly happy with, the rear pannel is about 1/2 inch too close to the drivers side, it will need to be re-panneled in the future. I also messed up the bonnet big time, I cut it too small, and when I cut it the curve near the nosecone moved. I marked it out from undeneathe while it was taped down, and when I cut it I forgot to take into account the extra inch I should have left . I just need to buy a new sheet of aluminum to fix it.

My daugter also decided to help, and it somehow turned into her car because it just her size, small!

Oh well still have lot's to do, I am going to try and find some black leather this week to make the cover for the seats and the rear deck.

I will be buying out what is left of my vacation time (60 days) in decmber, and that will give me planty of money for the winsheildm fuel system, and driveshaft, and also hopefully a nice down payment on a house with a garage to work in.

looks kinda scary in it's new home

$100us Junkyard specials, aka i'm not sure, but I do like them. I want to take the gold color off, and paint the inside the same color as the finished car. The paint on the nose and the scuttle is also not the final color, I just painted it becaise primer grey would look like poop.

I disagree! Was thinking about grey primer with laquer for my paintjob (with matt black high (low?) lights!!

But, don't worry; found another colour I quite like!

I saw a show on TV where they spent about
$300,000 to rebuild a 1950s Chevy pickup. Everything was custom made including the wheels. When it was finished they painted it primer black. They said that was the "IN" color for a Hotrod.

if you want a crap paint job, try find a picture of that yellow and blue thing they made. that was more than a bit garish.
