I would go with body colour myself, unless you have lots of other carbon bits on it?.
Would it not be easier to spray it rather than wrap for such a small item?

It should only take about 10 minutes to wrap it plus it will probably look better than a rattle can paint job.

nooo, never 3m textured vinyl (i'm not even using the word carbon to describe it, even if it is still a hydrocarbon)
gloss black!

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I would go gloss black too. For me, gloss black looks smart but fake carbon looks a bit naff.

OK. I will wrap it black and see what it looks like. The new bonnet will be left in ally or I might wrap that black as well.
Thanks for your honest and blunt feedback.

Don't fret, you could always spray the dash black to match the rest.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

I personally would use gloss black.
I think that carbon is fast loosing kudos, and thats saying something considering I have quite a bit of it on my car!
I like it when they are little 'additional' bits. But whent there are big bits like bonnets and dashboards its hard to look good.
I have all sorts of carbon stuff on my car so it is due to taste. I also have bits of black gloss and my car is quite taty so. . . . .
Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

I've got loads of 3M Di-Noc genuine carbon fibre look excellent real thing looks just super awesome on the avatar car <<<<<
but it's so frickin quick nobody really gets to see it lol
As for the aeroscreen, I'd go gloss black
PS IMO Di-Noc looks great, but I also got 'told off' on here for skinning a grille in real carbon a few years ago so who knows eh!!!!!!!!

I've just done my aero screen with the 3m film. It was gloss black before, I will try and post up a before and after pic.
Personally I think it looks good but I'm not planning on doing anything else with it.

The 3M vinyl is just a finish, no one could believe it is real CF, but that's not the point, is it?
The choices are, bare ally, paint or vinyl (I miss out CF because of the cost)
Description
DiNoc 3
Carbon fibre?
Reverse Switch Panel
Description
As you can see, I only stuck it on mainly flat panels, I tried to use it on the aeroscreen, but I have neither the skills or patience
2 coats of clear lacquer makes it look a lot better. IMO of course
