Rear Wing Challenge

I have a bit of a problem to resolve with my rear wings... I have my rear wings slightly biased towards the front of the car. This has resulted in not enough clearance between the rear of the arch and the tyre.... One option would be to trim the arches to increase the radius however this would result in loosing the return and leave a narrow edge... If I go this route would this edge be a fail on IVA... Has anyone else done this to overcome clearance issues...

thanks
Dave B

Had exactly the same problem with my offside arch...

Put up with it for a week, then removed and re-drilled all the rivnuts, then refitted it. Glad I did!

If you look carefully, you will see a filled - in rivnut just in front at the bottom on the second photo.

Move the wing outwards to get the clearance you're looking for.
Two options
1 - fit a spacer between the wing and the body (that's what I did)
2 - split the wing in two, move the two parts apart to get the clearance you need, join back together on the underside with fibreglass, fill and paint the top

1 is easier and quicker, 2 is what I would do next time, neater job
