How high is a "normal" Seven?
I was playing around with a design and it looks very low. What is the "normal" height from the ground? See my dimension on the
picture.

He didn't ask for the ground clearance, he asked for the height of the car.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

The highest point on mine so far is the front of the scuttle and the deck behind the seats. Both of these are at 31.5 inches with 5.5 inches from the
ground to the bottom of the chassis rail infront of the rear wheels. My chassis is +2 in height.

This thread is making me feel better about the height of mine
Due to how low my sump is, i need to raise the whole chassis more than normal.
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Mine is 32" at highest, with a six inch ground clearance. Cheers Ray
To make a car go faster, just add lightness. Colin Chapman - OR - fit a bigger engine. Chippy

Height to the top of the Rear Shock mounts -the highest without Roll bar or Windshield is 760 mm on mine.
My chassis is a +442E built with 1.5" square tubes, so it is actually +553E
Beware of what you wish.. for it may come true....

I suspected that...
...my play with dimensions were on the skimpy side. I will adjust. What tipped me off was there is no real room for a tachometer above the steering
wheel
Thanks for the answers / E
