Nice primer, when does the top coat go on?

Why is it everyone else seems to paint and have it turn out and mine looks like crap? That looks very nice, and I like the colour by the way.

Preperation and applying thin coats. Dont know what make/model of car the colour comes from all it says on the tin is green 4. I still have my doubts about the colour as well.
