Just as I'm about to do my fab hippy flower power paint scheme, herself has second thoughts and says we should do the bug in her fave
colour...metallic purple hhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
is that not a tad dated?? she also likes orange and green! (no she has absolutely no colour sense, you should have seen her original flat...purple
carpets, orange skirting and green wallpaper, get me a sick bag )
Swaying my judgment is I’d be in her good books for a long time
Anyway votes if you wouldn't mind

That is SOOOOOOOO nice
Voted nice, but could do with a slightly darker shade than that picture.
I like it. Should take some flower decals too if that was what you were originally going to do.
Cant you get some heavy metallic flakes too for colours like that. Being an old car it suits the older colours.
EWW.
look up BL Black Tulip - a darker version of that colour. Done on Mini's in the early 70's, mine was 1973 mini. I still think it looks COOOOOL.
Disregard all thats been said so far - it is quite simply shocking and shouldn't be allowed.
No-one has painted a car this colour since the 70s - and for good reason! Look to the left and you will see that the only appropriate use nowadays is
on buckets.
I always favour magnolia
Cheers
Gary

I bought a 72` bug in that colour many moons back. VW called it Royal BLUE and it was a bugger to respray as we were going white.........Always hated
that colour
Spray it herbie colours

My neighbour has a beetle buggy in the same shade as shown on the MG's which looks good to me.
The MGs look good. It definitely has to be dark-side-of-the-moon type purple
Quality Street BIG Purple One
The MK1 1300e Escort was painted the same color.
I would have thought that would be an obvious contender.
well cheers folks, clearly most like so I think it's going to be...purple
cripes this is going to be a first for me, bet she'll want an orange and green interior
The wife just looked over my shoulder at the picture without prompting and said "ooh! thats nice" . She never really passes judgment so I think your onto a winner.
