a la Surrey Dave's Flintstones hood, but hard and with more headroom and much more
locost than the Donkervoort one in this thread
I was feeling a bit bored so went out into the garage and got down the roof box (unused for x years). A couple of minutes spannering later and hey
presto! the Halfords Hardtop.
OK, a couple of thing to sort out, like how to attach to the roll bar, and I would probably need some sort of hoop at the front, and it would probably
be cr@p for the aerodynamics, but it's a laugh. I thing with not too much work it could be made to fit, especially if you had a full screen
already.
Any pictures of you trying to get in and out?

I if snows and you get stuck it could be used as a sledge to get home
cool.
Maybe trim it down to the line along the side to make it thinner, then take a mould off it and make some out of carbon fibre, yum yum.
Humbug, that is brilliant!
Mike
P.S. If you took a paddle too, you could cope with floods too!
What you need is the new astra panoramic windscreen style so the screen goes up over the top.
Like ya thinking!

these cars scare me, how stable is that windscreen pillar in a crash?!

glad to be of service to brighten up your day!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Humbugs comes to mind
Thats a brilliant idea. Could be some money to be made there but you will be in compitition with whippy if he starts making his hard tops
I'm still working out if there is a market for them

ho ho
I know... fit hinges at the back, then lift it up to get in. If you had a full screen, you could put overcentre catches on the inside to attach to the screen pillars. Sorted!
