Given that I can paint my car any colour in the world, I want to paint it my favourite colour. The blue colour of anodised aluminium.
Is there any way in the world of getting a paint finish that looks like this?
metalic blue over silver base? I'd guess
you can get it but i cant remeber what its called
but some smart paints here. ive got 3L of the crome paint ready.

Yep, a silver base with a blue candy laquer is the answer, but remember such finishes are 2 pack, most contain cyano acrilates or methyl isocyanate
(cyanide) and need external air fed full face mask, and complete skin coverage! plus filtered fume extraction.
The advantage with candys is the colour deepens with more coats, so a light coat of blue candy followed by clearcoat will give you what you want.
Best going to a pro paint shop with your requirements.
Give Mark Allanson a U2U, i believe he painted his himself.

ATB Dan.
I just used MG Trophy Blue, but you could used some of this, fairly easy to apply in clear lacquer over a black basecoat and 3 coats of clear to seal
it in.
